Rural Community Safe Drinking Water Supply Project
Access to clean and safe drinking water is a basic human right, yet many rural communities in Liberia still rely on unsafe sources that expose families to waterborne diseases. The Rural Community Safe Drinking Water Supply Project seeks to change that by providing reliable water systems that bring health, dignity, and development to underserved towns and villages.
At the heart of this initiative are modern water towers, built to supply clean water throughout communities. Each tower will:
Guarantee Safe Drinking Water – Equipped with proper filtration and storage systems to ensure water is safe for consumption.
Serve Entire Communities – Designed to meet the daily water needs of households, schools, and health centers.
Be Easily Identifiable – Each tower will proudly display the name of the town or community, making it a landmark visible from a distance and a symbol of community pride.
Promote Health and Hygiene – Reduce the spread of waterborne illnesses and improve sanitation practices.
Foster Local Ownership – Communities will participate in the management and maintenance of the water system to ensure sustainability.
